Shanti Dham, also known as the Nepali Badrinath Temple, is a serene and spiritually significant place located in Tarkeshwar, Kathmandu, Nepal. This unique temple complex is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and it serves as a prominent pilgrimage site for both locals and visitors seeking solace and divine blessings. The architecture of Shanti Dham draws inspiration from the famous Badrinath Temple located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Temple is open until 11 in the morning and after 3 in the evening. You can also see the great view of Kathmandu Valley from here. It is a peaceful place where people can get opportunity to experience of Dharma (Good action), yoga (meditation) and learn the knowledge of morality and our duties with sage. This temple has been more popularity after then lockdown phase.

It is equally suitable for those people who are interested for hiking since it is not far from Kathmandu new bus park as well.

How to reach

It is not far from Kathmandu New bus park so that visitor can easily reach Shanti Dham through their personal vehicles including bike, scooter , car and so on.

From Machhapokhari bus park it takes around 40 minutes to reach near temple and it requires 20/30 minutes walks to reach the destination.
