CAAN Extends a Helping Hand Rs10 Million Aid for Quake Survivors

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has pledged Rs 10 million in financial aid to support the earthquake survivors in the Jajarkot and Rukum West regions.

During a recent meeting, CAAN unanimously decided to contribute this generous amount to the Prime Minister Disaster Rescue Fund, as shared by CAAN Spokesperson and Deputy Director General, Jagannath Niraula.

Moreover, CAAN has gone a step further by granting a full waiver on airport charges for flights exclusively dedicated to delivering essential relief supplies. These compassionate efforts extend to airports in Nepalgunj, Surkhet, Rukum Salle, and Chaurjahari.

A big earthquake, measuring 6.4 on the measuring scale, happened at 11:47 p.m. on a Friday night. It happened in Jajarkot. This natural disaster caused a lot of damage to people and things in the Karnali Province. Sadly, 157 people lost their lives.

CAAN’s commitment to aiding the affected regions demonstrates the nation’s resilience and solidarity in the face of adversity, reaching out to provide support and relief during these trying times.
