Jajarkot, a district in Nepal, is currently grappling with a series of aftershocks stemming from a significant 6.4 magnitude earthquake that struck last Friday. As per reports from the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, an astounding total of 444 aftershocks have rattled the region until 11:30 AM today. The most powerful aftershock, registering at 5.8 on the Richter scale, took place on Monday afternoon at 4:31 PM with its epicenter located in Ramidanda, Jajarkot, and it left 25 individuals injured[1]. The persistent aftershocks have understandably left the residents of Jajarkot apprehensive, particularly as they are still in the process of recovering from the initial earthquake’s impact.
