Efficient Resumption: Ratnapark-Suryabinayak Express Bus Service Restarts with Enhanced Timings

The long-awaited Ratnapark-Suryabinayak express bus service, which faced a temporary suspension lasting over a month, has resumed today, breathing new life into commuters’ daily journeys.

With the addition of 11 new buses to the existing fleet, the service recommenced along the Suryabinayak-Ratnapark route promptly at 8:30 this morning. Earlier, 25 buses were operational in this express service.

The revitalized schedule now ensures departures from Suryabinayak to Ratnapark every three minutes starting at 8:30 in the morning. Likewise, the service from Ratnapark to Suryabinayak will run between 3:30 and 5:30 in the afternoon.

Previously, buses departed every five minutes from both Ratnapark and Suryabinayak, operating daily from 9 AM to 11 AM and from 4 PM to 6 PM. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport orchestrated this addition of buses and revised the schedule to optimize the efficiency of the express bus service.

The initiative, inaugurated on Constitution Day, September 20, aimed to expedite passenger travel; however, due to operational constraints, it was temporarily halted within a month.

Distinguishing itself from regular public buses that take 1.5 hours, the express service vows to shuttle passengers from Ratnapark to Suryabinayak in a mere 45 minutes. Ministry officials have affirmed that traffic police will support uninterrupted travel, especially through congested intersections like Maitighar, Koteshwar, and Jadibuti.

In a gesture ensuring affordability, the Department of Transport Management has confirmed that the express bus will levy the same fare as other public buses plying the Ratnapark-Suryabinayak route.

The reinstatement of this express service with enhanced operations promises a quicker and more efficient commuting experience for passengers, streamlining travel between these bustling destinations.
