In the past seven months, 883 tourists went to Khaptad, a famous place often called “Heaven on Earth.” Khaptad’s religious and environmental significance in the far-western region makes it a major tourist destination. According to Khaptad National Park, 865 residents and 18 foreign visitors came to Khaptad during this period.
In the fiscal year 2077-78, only three foreign tourists and 1,085 Nepalis visited Khaptad. Then, in 2078-79, 19 foreigners, three from SAARC countries, and 2,187 Nepalis visited. The following year, 2,891 tourists came to Khaptad.
