Since the beginning of the new year, more people have been visiting Tikapur Park in Tikapur, Kailali.
On the first day of the new year, over twelve thousand visitors came to the park, bringing in about three million rupees from ticket sales.
Most visitors enjoy activities like eating in the forest, rafting on the Karnali River, riding jet skis, and boating.
During the first day of the year, many people had picnics by the river and had fun dancing and singing at eating areas.
Tikapur Park, also called Ratna Udyan and Aishwarya Udyan, is famous for its beautiful gardens full of roses.
Local guides suggest visiting places like Mahendra Health Home, Veerendra Rest House, Ratna Udyan, and Aishwarya Udyan for taking photos and relaxing.
According to Hari Karki, a group of forty people from Surkhet enjoyed rafting on the Karnali River near the park. He talked about how beautiful the park is and how excited he was to explore new places.
There are suggestions to make the park better for kids, like adding playgrounds, swings, and toys, even though it already has nice things for them to do.
The first day saw more business not just in nearby hotels but also in shops in Tikapur Bazaar, which is four kilometers away from the park.
In the future, it’s expected that many tourists will keep coming to the park, which is by the Karnali River, about four kilometers from Tikapur Bazaar.
