7th June-Kathmandu Nepal:In the second round of World Cup Asian qualifiers, Nepal lost to the UAE in a crucial match. The UAE scored 4 goals against Nepal. It was held at Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium in Saudi Arabia on June.
Nepal’s hope of qualifying for the World Cup took a bit of a disappointment yesterday.
UAE displayed dominance over Nepal from start to finish. Nepal had difficulty finding rhythm throughout the game. UAE, on the other hand, capitalized on the Nepali defense and scored 4 goals back-to-back. H. Abdalla scored two goals, while A. saleh and H. Abbas scored 1 goal each.
Nepali fans had high expectations of winning the game. This loss is a major setback for Nepal’s world Cup aspirations. Every point counts on each and every game of qualifiers. Nepal still have not managed to gain a single point. Now, the team will have to regroup and focus on winning on their upcoming matches.
Nepali fans are hoping for a strong comeback from Nepal in the coming games.
