June,10 Kathmandu,nepal: Sandeep lamichane will be joining Nepal in the World Cup for the remaining matches in the West Indies.
Parash khadka, secretary of Cricket association of Nepal, announced on monday morning in a press release that Sandeep will play for Nepal in the West Indies.
Sandeep Lamichhane was in the official squad of the world cup 2024, but didn’t get a visa to play in the USA. In light of that, CAN coordinated with the ICC to let Sandeep play in the West Indies. He will be playing last two group stage matches.
After the decision by Patan High Court on May 15, CAN included Sandeep in the squad by replacing young bowler Pratish GC and GC was included in the traveling reserve of the team.
sandeep lammichhane on his social media post expressed gratidude to CAN, president chatur bahadur chand, Secretary Parash Khadka, his lawyers for their effort to coordinate with ICC in making this happen.
