President Paudel’s European Visit Deferred Due to Earthquake Concerns

President Ram Chandra Paudel’s anticipated trip to Europe has faced a postponement due to current concerns arising from the recent earthquake. Suresh Chalise, the foreign relations advisor to President Paudel, clarified that the decision to delay the visit was prompted by the uneasy situation in the country following the earthquake.

Originally, the President was scheduled to begin his European trip on November 8. His itinerary included participation in the Paris Peace Forum, followed by visits to Germany and Italy, with a return scheduled for November 17. However, in light of the earthquake’s impact, particularly in Jajarkot and Rukum West, where it claimed the lives of 153 people and left over 100 injured, the earthquake’s epicenter in Barekot Rural Municipality-1, Ramidanda, the public’s growing concerns led to the decision to postpone the foreign tour.
