Students from Kathmandu University Build Nepal’s First F3 EV Vehicle

A group of Nepali students from Kathmandu University made Nepal’s first-ever F3 EV car. There were 31 students in Team Urja, all studying electrical and mechanical engineering. They built this car, which is similar to the Yatri motorbike in some technical aspects.

They’re taking part in Formula Bharat, a competition where college students make full-size cars and compete in engineering design, cost, marketability, and performance. It’s like a student version of an international Formula racing series held in 11 countries.

This event will last six days, starting on January 19, at Kari Motor Speedway in India. The winner gets a cash prize and a chance to race a student-level F3 Formula car in Germany. The goal is to help students apply what they learn in class and gain practical experience in engineering.
