Starting from March 9, Buddha Air will begin offering direct flights between Pokhara and Bhadrapur, much to the excitement of entrepreneurs in the tourism industry in nepal. This air connectivity between the eastern and western parts of the country is expected to provide an easy service for passengers and travelers which is expected to reduce travel time between these two destinations by 17 hours compared to travel by road.
The direct flight between these two destinations is expected to take 1 hour and 10 minutes to complete, saving travelers a considerable amount of time. Flights from Pokhara to Bhadrapur will depart at 6:15 am, and flights from Bhadrapur to Pokhara will depart at 6:55 pm.
This new service is expected to have a positive impact on domestic tourism as well. The Pokhara Tourism Council expressed confidence that the operation of Pokhara International Airport and better air connectivity with other districts will help promote domestic tourism.
Kashiraj Bhandari (Chief of the Pokhara Tourism Board) was hopeful that the increasing air connectivity would support tourist arrivals in Pokhara. He also added that the direct flight between Pokhara and Bhadrapur would facilitate marketing and sales of local products in Pokhara.
