Kathmandu, Nepal โ On September 30, 1997, Buddha Air began its first commercial flight with a Beechcraft ‘B 1900 D’ aircraft. After 25 years of service, the aircraft is now ready to be taken to Canada, as a Canadian company has purchased it.
The aircraft, with its Nepali registration number “Nine N-AEE”, has flown and landed 75,000 times since its inaugural flight in 1997. A technician from Canada purchased the aircraft, confirming that the aircraft is still airworthy.
Buddha Air expressed its gratitude for the 25 years of service the aircraft provided them and wished it well on its future journey. The aircraft is expected to be taken to Canada within two weeks.
