A convoy of two trucks carrying the sacred stones known as Shaligram Shila from Kali Gandaki is expected to reach Ayodhya on February 1st. The stones are also worshipped by devotees along the way. The stones will be used to build the deity of Lord Ram for the proposed Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The transportation of the sacred stones from Nepal to India is a momentous occasion for the people of Ayodhya and for Hindus around the world. The stones will be an integral part of the temple and will be kept in reverence for years to come.
