A new green park has been constructed in Sukhaura, Baglung district, with the aim of attracting tourists and local visitors. The park is located in the middle of Deurali, Bhaisekhola, and the Chhaharekhola waterfall.
According to Ambar Bahadur Serbaja (chairman), the construction of the park cost around Rs 800,000 and is situated at an altitude of 1,700 meters above sea level. He further said that the park is located in the center of the village and will serve as a place for locals to refresh themselves and have fun.
Krishna Prasad Sharma (head of the rural municipality) said that the park has been furnished with tourism infrastructure and has great potential to attract tourists. He added that the rural region is attempting to link the village’s art, culture, and customs to tourism. The majority of the construction work has been completed. However, there are still projects that need to be completed, such as installing a bathroom and planting tree seedlings. Once, the construction works are fully completed then tourists and local visitors will have positive impact towards the tourism industry of the region.
The rural municipality intends to promote regional organic goods such as potatoes and beans by establishing good accommodations for travelers, and not only that, they will also be able to obtain these goods as gifts from the locals as well.
The park has the potential to become a major tourist destination in the area, and the local administration is committed to improving the tourism infrastructure in order to promote the village’s traditions, art, and culture. Tourists can look forward to a refreshing and enjoyable experience in Sukhaura and Baglung districts as well.
