Located in the Devchuli region of the Nawalprasi district in south-central Nepal, Shashwat Dham spans over 12 acres of land. While the central shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva, it may also symbolize the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, which are considered important pilgrimage sites for devotees.

The establishment’s philosophy emphasizes a more evolved and comprehensive understanding of spirituality. It incorporates four key elements: knowledge (Jnana), devotion (Bhakti), action (Karma), and yogic practices (Raja).
Furthermore, Shashwat Dham emphasizes the preservation and upholding of the essence of Sanatana Dharma, which refers to the eternal way of living in Hinduism. By promoting the purest form of Sanatana Dharma, the establishment aims to ensure that the teachings and values of this ancient tradition are upheld and shared with those who visit the complex.
How it all started
Shashwat Dham was born from a seed of an idea that took root around two decades ago. Its founder, Binod K. Chaudhary, was inspired by Sri Jayendra Saraswati Ji of Shankaracharya Kanchee math, who expressed concern about the lack of Vedic knowledge in Nepalese temples. Later, Mr. Chaudhary connected with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar of the Art of Living and visited their centers worldwide.

These encounters sparked a deep desire in Mr. Chaudhary to create a place that goes beyond mere worship. He wanted to understand the true essence of Sanatana Hindu Dharma, the ancient teachings that have existed for thousands of years. With this intention, Shashwat Dham was established. Shashwat Dham serves as a sanctuary to preserve and share the core elements of the ancient Vedic philosophies. It aims to provide access to these teachings for those who seek them. It is a place where believers can come to learn and connect with the rich heritage of their faith.

- By Air: You can take a flight to Bharatpur Airport, which is the closest airport to Shashwat Dham. Once you arrive at Bharatpur, you can proceed to Shashwat Dham by taxi or private transportation.
- By Road: You can take a bus or hire a taxi from Kathmandu to Bharatpur. The journey takes approximately 4-5 hours, depending on the traffic and road conditions. Shashwat Dham is located around 23 kilometers from Bharatpur, and you can hire a taxi or use local transportation options to reach the destination.
