How to reach Tilicho Lake

Drive to Besisahar/Chame: From Kathmandu, you have two options to reach the starting point of the trek. You can take a domestic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara and then drive from Pokhara to Besisahar. Alternatively, you can take a long bus ride from Kathmandu to Besisahar or Chame directly.

Trek: The trek to Tilicho Lake usually starts from Besisahar or Chame. From Besisahar, the trek follows the popular Annapurna Circuit route, passing through picturesque villages like Jagat, Dharapani, and Manang. The trail then deviates towards Tilicho Base Camp. Tilicho Lake is about a 2 to 3-hour trek from the base camp.

Trekking Permits: Before starting the trek, you need to obtain the necessary permits, including the Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA) entry permit and the TIMS (Trekkers’ Information Management System) card.
