World’s Largest Museum, “Yuge Yugeen Bharat” to be Built in New Delhi

New Delhi is set to become home to the world’s largest museum, as India plans to construct the “Yuge Yugeen Bharat” – a colossal repository of the nation’s historical treasures. The project will encompass 950 rooms spanning over 117,000 square meters, making it an unparalleled treasure trove of India’s past. The museum will be located within the North and South Blocks flanking the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the Indian president.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a virtual walkthrough of the museum in May. The galleries and gardens are set to be an immersive experience, with sections dedicated to various phases of Indian history, including ancient civilizations, medieval eras, colonial rule, and the fight for independence.

Ancient town planning will be one of the highlights, taking visitors back in time to witness the ingenious urban structures of yore. Additionally, the museum will present a comprehensive collection of ancient and sacred texts like the Vedas and Upanishads, offering insights into India’s philosophical and spiritual heritage.

The museum is expected to be completed by 2026. The “Yuge Yugeen Bharat” Museum is anticipated to not only stand as a symbol of national pride but also become a beacon attracting enthusiasts of history, culture, and heritage from all corners of the world.
