Minister Sudhan Kirati, responsible for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, announced today that Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) plans to acquire up to 10 new aircraft within this fiscal year. This move aims to address pricing inconsistencies in airfares. Furthermore, NAC is set to expand its domestic flight fleet by adding three additional Twin Otters, making a total of five.
Additionally, Minister Kirati noted that NAC has initiated flights from Nepalgunj airport to remote regions to accommodate the Dashain season. He also assured that measures would be taken in collaboration with relevant authorities to prevent any unauthorized sale of air tickets during festivals.
