
In a significant weather development, Kathmandu Valley experiences the coldest temperature of the year, dropping to 5.8 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) from the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology predicts a further dip in temperatures, signaling a strengthening of winter in the coming days.
According to Meteorologist Saroj Pudasaini of the MFD, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu hit 5.8 degrees Celsius at 6:30 this morning, indicating a consistent decline over recent days. Pudasaini highlighted the likelihood of temperatures dropping even more, intensifying the winter weather.
Anticipated afternoon temperatures in Kathmandu are forecasted to range between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius. With the expected escalation of winter conditions, meteorologists advise precautionary measures to mitigate the effects of the cold.
