Shivapuri to Helipad
With its wide tracks and ease of navigation, this trail is ideal for beginners. Though the trail route is primarily uphill, the elevation gain is slow, making it perfect for a relaxed, all-day ride. From Budhanilkantha, the trailhead is located. After you pass through the gate, continue southeast on a graveled road that leads to Helipad via Shivapuri Heights. From here, you have the option to head back or, if you’re prepared for some technical drops, keep going towards the next one. It is advised that only seasoned riders attempt this since it is a steep drop. The famous Widow Maker, a dangerous technical downhill extend of the trail, is also located here.
With greenery, this trail offers numerous breathtaking, panoramic views of the city. Since some of this trail also functions as a road, be aware of passing jeeps and other large vehicles when riding.
Kakani to Helipad
This is the ideal trail for a long ride—all day. This trail is difficult because it requires you to walk both up and down. For a cardio-focused weekend ride, this is perfect. The Kakani to Helipad trail leads you to Shivapuri National Park via the beautiful paths of Kakani and the surrounding forests. Set out from Balaju Chowk and proceed in the direction of Trishuli Highway. Your route to Kakani will take you via the Trishuli Highway. A bike ride through Kakani will lead you to Shivapuri National Park, where the forest trail continues as you enter.
There are more slopes on this trail, so it will be a pleasant and relaxing ride through trees with random amazing views of the Himalayas.
Khokana to bhaisepati
Compared to other trails on this list, the trails in Bhaisepati are very distinct. The Khokana to Bhainsepati trail is the ideal route to take if you want to ride slowly and enjoy the surroundings. This is mainly a single-track trail, so riding it in the monsoon is not recommended. This trail extends from Bhainsepati to Khokana’s Sikali. The grassy trails wind through calm paddy fields where you can see people cultivating their crops from October to November, when harvest season occurs.
This is an excellent trail to take if you want to get away from the city, visit a traditional town, and enjoy the best food available.
Hattiban
With so many trails that include large jumps, borders, and gaps, Hattiban is a downhill rider’s dream come true. In addition, riders will be happy to find out that the trail starts with a short section of rock. You can ride through the different downhill and ascending trails here, or you can take on a challenge. Hattiban Hill is the trailhead, and you can ride downhill all the way to Pharping from here. This location provides many more downhill activities in addition to the National Downhill Championship, demonstrating how well-liked it is among mountain bikers.

Godavari
Another outstanding destination to explore a range of trail types is Godavari. Godavari’s mountain bike trails are particularly well-known for their challenging, rocky terrain that’s ideal for enduro and downhill riding. Phulchowki Hill has some of the best downhill trails. As one might expect, beginners should not attempt these trails. On the other hand, newcomers will also have fun riding up to Godavari from Satdobato. The best way to explore Godavari’s many sites of interest is on a mountain bike. Continuing on from Godavari, you can extend the ride by connecting with the Lakhuri trail.
This one winds through a mixture of single tracks, switchbacks, and stairs that go down into paddy fields.
Nagarkot
Nagarkot is the best destination place for enduro and downhill riding bikers,there are so many trails in Nagarkot that riders of all skill levels can enjoy their whole day riding there.
Starting at Nagarkot View Tower, you can ride downhill to complete your journey. This trail features both straightforward, leisurely routes and numerous technical downhill drops. Another option is to begin your trip in Bhaktapur and ride your bike uphill to the Nagarkot View Tower.
You will be riding on a muddy track during the monsoon and a dusty one during the dry season due to the poorly maintained roads.
