Grindavik Town Was Evacuated Due to Volcanic Activity as a Precaution

Photos that were taken during a volcanic eruption near the southwest Icelandic town of Grindavik have become extremely popular. It’s still unclear which way this eruption will benefit society.

As a precaution, the town has been cleared out. In less than a month, a volcano has erupted twice already.

No one’s life is in danger, according to Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, President of Iceland.
