A heavy layer of fog has been delaying flights from Nepalgunj airport to Kathmandu, Pokhara, and mountainous areas for the past two days.
There are only barely eight meters of vision, which is insufficient for air travel, even though 1,600 meters is what’s needed. Approximately 1,000 travelers are currently stuck at Nepalgunj Airport with the hopes of improving the weather.
Many airlines have been affected, including Yeti Air, Buddha Air, and Shree Airlines.
Between Nepalgunj and Kathmandu, Buddha Air possesses three flights, Shree Airlines provides two, and Yeti Air runs one.
From Nepalgunj, flights are operated by Tara Air, Summit Air, Nepal Airlines, and Mugu, Jumla, Humla, Dolpa, and Bajura.
