Daily Flights to Lukla an Easy Access to Mount Everest

There are now flights from Ramechhap’s Manthali Airport to Lukla during the hiking and climbing season.

With daily flights to Lukla, Tara Air, Summit Air, and Sita Air have made it easier for travelers to reach the foot of Mount Everest.

In order to avoid the congestion at Tribhuvan International Airport during the peak tourism season, airlines are first transporting visitors to Manthali and subsequently Lukla. Twice a year, a large number of foreign visitors travel to Lukla for trekking and mountaineering.

Before, the Khumbu region’s busiest travel season spanned from early October to early November. As to Praveen Subedi, the proprietor of Tara Air in Ramechhap, there are plenty of tourists during March through May this year. On the first day, though, bad weather kept planes from taking off.

The head of the Civil Aviation Authority office in Ramechhap, Pooja Thapa, announced that normal flights have resumed today due to the improved weather.

They’ve also made sure there’s enough fuel for the planes in Manthali.
