As part of the Tourism Infrastructure Development Project, a new modern restaurant called ‘Drive-In’ has been set up in Bandipur. It’s located alongside an international-level tourist park at the Cable Car Bottom Station in Bandipur-4.
On the special occasion of Baisakh 1st, the inauguration of the ‘Drive-In’ restaurant and the Bandipur Hill Bottom Station’s Tourist Park took place with traditional Vedic rituals performed by five individuals. The opening ceremony began with a puja conducted by the company’s engineer, Supriyo Mandal. Mandal mentioned that after five years of construction, the park and restaurant, spread over an area of 56 ropanis, are now open to the public.
The cable car has been operational for internal purposes for some time, and the project office has announced that it will soon be open to the public. The Bandipur Hill-based Tourist Park and Restaurant are now fully open. According to the company’s vice-chairman, Kiran Pokharel, visitors can enjoy continuous entertainment here. Pokharel also mentioned the addition of sculptures of various deities and a beautiful temple in the tourist park.
The estimated cost of the tourist park is around 86 crores, as confirmed by the financial director, Shiv Prasad Sharma. The entry fee is Rs. 200 for individuals, Rs. 300 for motorcycles, Rs. 500 for taxis, Rs. 1000 for micro-buses, and Rs. 1500 for large buses. Sharma also stated that the company offers gift vouchers equivalent to the ticket price, which can be used at the restaurant.
Pokharel shared details about the broader ‘Bandipur Hill’ project, which includes various exciting tourist attractions like five-star hotels, modern towers, sky dining, fly dining, sky bar, health club, ground dining, and more, all under the ‘Bandipur Hill’ brand.
The total cost of the project is estimated to be Rs. 2.9 billion, and the company plans to complete all preliminary work within the next two years.
