
The Nepalese government has set ambitious targets for the tourism industry in the upcoming fiscal year. They aim to welcome 1.6 million tourists, which will greatly benefit the economy and the country’s tourism sector.
A program was organized in kathmandu during the occasion of 71st mount everest day. During the event, Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Hit Bahadur Tamang expressed that the target will be fulfilled in the upcoming fiscal year of 2081-82.
“During the budget statement, Finance Minister Varshman Pun, speaking on behalf of the Nepali government, announced a goal of 1.6 million tourists for the upcoming year under the theme “Save the Himalayas, Save the Humans, Nepal’s identity is royal pride.” Minister Tamang stated.
We will work in coordination with a range of mountaineering groups, guides, and tourist experts to accomplish this goal, as well as foster a climate of mutual trust to meet the target,” Minister Tamang stated.
The government is optimistic that the increased number of visitors will positively impact Nepal’s economic growth. The tourism industry has already made a significant contribution to the country’s economy. With the right infrastructure and marketing plans in place, Nepal has the potential to become one of the top tourism destinations in the region.
