Chitwan National park has announced that the total number of tourists who have visited the national park is 306,837 in the year 2080–81 the number of tourists has increased by 7425 as compared to the year 2079/80.
The number of Domestic visitors are 176,316 and the number of visitors from other countries is 101,232.
Not only has the number of visitors increased, but the revenue of Chitwan National Park has also increased. The information officer of Chitwan National Park, Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, shared that the park has generated a revenue of Rs 305,7 million, which is huge compared to the revenue of the years 2079–80.
The mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Renu Dahal, said that the district is receiving a lot of national and international attention, and the Bharatpur Metropolitan City is observing the Bharatpur Visit Year 2024.
Chitwan National park is the main Tourist attraction in Bharatpur. The mayor of Bharatpur metropolitan city said that “The number of increasing Visitors in Chitwan national park is due to the Bharatpur Visit year 2024”.
Chitwan National Park is planning for more tourists in the upcoming year, and they are working on it.
