Gautam Buddha Cricket Stadium Construction Begins on August 11

Bharatpur Metropolitan City has officially started work on the Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium, a great development project in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-15. This major plan, a collaboration between the provincial and federal governments, seeks to improve the region’s sports facility.

Expedited Construction and Local Material Testing

Santosh Acharya, the director of the construction department, declared that development is moving quickly. Current plans include stone soling beneath the protective wall, while local materials undergo thorough testing in the city’s laboratory. Additionally, building rods were shipped to Kathmandu for additional testing. “Technicians and employees of the construction company have begun their on-site work,” Acharya confirmed.

Mayor’s Commitment to Timely Completion

Mayor Renu Dahal pointed out the significance of sticking to the project deadline. She has asked the construction business and other partners to guarantee that the project is completed on schedule and has promised full local assistance. To speed the process, the BMC will set up an on-site office to support construction activity.

Stadium Details and Financials

Engineer Jagannath Aryal, Deputy Director of the Metropolitan City, said that the stadium will include a protective wall and seats for 10,000 people. The stadium’s overall building cost is Rs 755 million, 91 thousand 189. The project is scheduled to be completed by 22 Push 2083 BS.

For the current fiscal year, the federal government has given Rs 250 million, while the BMC has set aside Rs 480 million. The Bagmati Province government will contribute 70% of the entire contract value, demonstrating the collective effort behind this great landmark.

The Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium is expected to improve the regional sporting environment and provide a world-class arena for cricket fans.
