Rabindra Subedi of the Muktinath Development Committee reported a significant increase in visitor numbers, driven by ideal weather conditions. Devotees bathe in the 108 holy taps and temple pond as part of their spiritual journey. It is believed that it cleans the soul and brings benefits.
Mustang’s hotels, especially in the Ranipauwa region, are at full capacity, serving both domestic and foreign guests. While most visitors come from Nepal and India, hikers who complete the Annapurna Circuit also go to Muktinath through the Thorong La Pass.
The rush of visitors has resulted in major economic advantages for Mustang, with local hotels, stores, and enterprises booming. The dynamic activity in places such as Kagbeni, Jomsom, and Marpha shows Muktinath’s rising popularity as a spiritual and cultural destination.
