A new exhibition hall at the Patan Durbar Museum in Lalitpur dedicated to traditional Nepali art has been established. This museum, in Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO-listed world heritage site, is noted to preserve Nepal’s rich cultural heritage.

The latest display would show the process of making statues out of stone, wood, and metal in a step-by-step process. This addition aims to give visitors a deeper understanding of traditional craftsmanship. “The expansion work is going on and will begin ahead of International Museum Day next Jestha.
Topmost artists like Chandrasyam Dungol of Lalitpur and Indrakaji Silpakar of Bhaktapur have agreed to produce and donate their works of art for this new hall. All donors for this exhibition will be honored at the start.
This is the new exhibition intended to attract local and foreign tourists to the museum. “We want to keep these traditions alive and also make the museum livelier,” said Lakhe. According to him, it would foster tourism growth while protecting the legacy of art in Nepal.
