NEA earned Rs 41.80 billion in total revenue during this time. This included income from electricity sales, interest, and other sources. Operating costs, including maintenance, reached Rs 32.69 billion. Electricity sales alone brought in Rs 28.95 billion, with Rs 26.77 billion from distribution centers.
To meet demand, NEA bought 4.10 billion units of electricity. It purchased 875.2 million units from its own companies and 3.22 billion units from private producers. A total of Rs 21.91 billion was spent on these purchases.
NEA also exported 1.4 billion units of electricity to India, earning Rs 10.88 billion in revenue. There were no electricity imports from India during this period. Floods in October affected export plans, but NEA managed resources well.
The authority spent Rs 16.93 billion on electrification projects. Of this, Rs 10.88 billion came from NEA’s own funds, with Rs 6.5 billion used for foreign payments. NEA’s efforts highlight its commitment to powering Nepal’s growth.
