Karnali Yaks set a target of 119 runs in 19 overs. However, Janakpur chased it down with ease. James Neesham was the star, scoring 45 runs off just 17 balls, including five sixes and two boundaries. Sher Malla remained not out on 16, while Harsh Thakur added 17. Mayan Yadav and Akash Tripathi chipped in with 15 and 13 runs, respectively.
Although Karnali’s Bipin Prasad Sharma took three wickets, Janakpur’s aggressive batting was too much. Sompal Kami, William Bosisto, and Zeeshan Maqsood each claimed one wicket but could not stop the run chase.
Earlier, after losing the toss, Karnali Yaks batted first and scored 118 runs in 20 overs. Gulshan Jha was the top scorer with 25 runs. Dev Khanal made 24 runs, while William Bosisto, Zeeshan Maqsood, and Unish Thakuri scored 14, 12, and 12 runs, respectively.
Janakpur’s bowlers were on target. James Neesham, Mohammad Mohsin, and Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi each took two wickets. Harsh Thakur and Sher Malla claimed one wicket each.
Thanks to this win, Janakpur Bolts will now face Sudurpaschim Royals in the NPL final on December 21 at Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. The final promises to be an exciting match!
