Hot Air Balloon flights, which had been suspended during the monsoon season, will resume operations in three months. The announcement was made by Vikram Badal, the Chairman of Balloon Nepal.
Previously, the company had been operating flights using a single balloon, starting from September. According to the demand from adventure-seeking tourists, Balloon Nepal is introducing two additional balloons for flights.
Hot Air Balloon offers tourists the opportunity to experience breathtaking views of Pokhara. The operation takes passengers up to around 6,000 feet, providing panoramic views of the Himalayas, pristine lakes like Phewa, and landmarks such as the Pumdi Bhumdi, Sarangkot, and Machapuchare. To experience this one-time flight, the company charges NPR 9,500 for domestic tourists, USD 100 for SAARC nation tourists, and USD 130 for foreign tourists.
Two pilots, one American and one Vietnamese, will manage the service, with flights scheduled in two shifts: one from 5 am. to 9 am and the other from 3pm to 6pm
