
Chitwan, Kartik 15 – Bharatpur Metropolitan City has announced its preparations to welcome an estimated three lakh tourists in the tourism year 2024. The Mayor of the metropolis, Renu Dahal, shared this information during a press conference held on Wednesday in the context of celebrating the tourism year.
Dahal stated that they have made arrangements to welcome at least three lakh tourists in the city’s tourist areas over the course of a year. Despite the economic challenges facing the nation, the success of the tourism year is expected to stimulate economic activities.
“We will officially inaugurate the tourism year with a grand event on the 15th of Poush (December),” she said. “The metropolitan city has allocated Rs. 40 million for organizing and conducting the tourism year.”
Bharatpur Metropolitan City boasts 31 tourist centers, which provide ample opportunities for visitors to enjoy entertainment and explore new destinations. The preparations have been designed to ensure that tourists visiting these places have a fulfilling experience.
Deputy Mayor Chitrasen Adhikari and Chief Administrative Officer Narendrakumar Ranabhat provided further details, emphasizing the utilization of the remaining two months to complete the preparations adequately.
