Beer bottle ban in mustang

Since our transportation from here is very expensive, even scrap collectors don’t take the glass bottle and there was no point in putting them in the landfill site.

– Municipality Chairman Mohan Singh Lalchan

The beer is still available in cans and Locals and tourists can still use glass bottles to consume alcohol other than beer. So, the production and sale of locally made Marfa liquor, which is a popular drink in the area, is not affected by the ban.

A landfill site is being constructed to manage non-perishable waste. The preparations are being made to sell recyclable waste through a scrap collector. With this ban on beer bottles, the rural municipality hopes to address the waste management issues that have been caused by their use.
