Mayor Balen Shah had a new idea about the Khulamanch area. Instead of building an underground parking lot there, he changed his mind. He wants the people in charge of sections 27 and 28 to take care of this open space. Bhai Ram Khadgi, who leads Ward 28, said, “This area is meant for everyone. We want to see young boys and girls playing here once more. It’s a place for everyone, and it will always stay open.”
Now,Kathmandu Metropolis has finally made the decision to transform Khullamanch into a public park. The process of making Khullamanch beautiful and appealing is progressing quickly. To turn it into a park, the Urban Planning Commission under the metropolis is working on a detailed project report (DPR).
