After a brief three-day pause during the Dashain festival, the Manakamana Cable Car service is now back to regular operation. Ujjwal Sherchan, the Deputy Manager of Manakamana Darshan Pvt Ltd, the company that operates the cable car service, has officially announced the resumption of services.
The cable car service was temporarily halted on October 23, 24, and 25 to observe the Dashain festival holiday. Starting today, it’s once again open to the public.
Established in 2055 BS, the Manakamana Cable Car service connects Kurintar (Cheres), Ichhakamana-4, Chitwan, to the revered Manakamana Temple, a well-known pilgrimage site in Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality, Gorakha. This cable car ride offers a convenient and swift ten-minute journey for visitors.
