The Nepali tourism industry stands united in support of earthquake survivors, extending crucial aid to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund. A collective effort from various organizations within the tourism sector has resulted in a substantial contribution aimed at aiding the affected communities in Jajarkot and Rukum Paschim districts.
Representatives and leaders from esteemed bodies in the tourism realm, including the Tourist Bus Association of Nepal, Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN), Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents, and Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies, rallied together to present a significant contribution of Rs 3 million in funds, along with essential supplies. The donation includes Rs 1.9 million in monetary assistance, 240 blankets, and vital stretchers, all directed towards supporting those impacted by the recent devastating earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale. This natural disaster, originating from Ramidanda in Jajarkot district, tragically claimed more than 150 lives in the affected regions.
