“Tara Air Incident: Glass Panel Detaches from Emergency Exit Door En Route to Lukla”

During a Tara Air cargo aircraft’s journey from Kathmandu to Lukla, an incident occurred where the glass panel of the emergency door detached mid-flight. Subas Jha, the Tribhuvan International Airport spokesperson, confirmed that flight 9N-ALO was en route to Lukla when the incident took place at 9:31 AM.

Fortunately, the aircraft landed safely, carrying only two passengers who remained unharmed. Jha explained, “Upon landing and parking the aircraft, it was noticed that the glass panel of the emergency door had fallen. This can occasionally happen with cargo aircraft.”

Before departure, the aircraft was loaded with 1126 kg of cargo. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
