The Kumal community is all set to celebrate the Maghe Sankranti festival with big festivities this year.
They see it as their most important celebration. To honor this occasion, the Kumal Samaj Nepal plans to gather around 6,000 community members from 70 districts at Golaghat in Chitwan.
The event, happening at the meeting point of the Narayani and Rapti rivers in Bharatpur, will feature traditional clothing, cultural shows, and demonstrations of Kumal customs and homes. Overall, with a total population of about 130,000 in the country, the festival aims to showcase and celebrate Kumal heritage and culture.
