Sheetal Ganga Municipality, Sitapur, has inaugurated the third Sheetal Ganga Agriculture, Tourism, and Industrial Trade Fair today with the aim of attracting both domestic and international tourists.
The festival, initiated in the non-agricultural land of Ward No. 2 of Sheetal Ganga Municipality, was inaugurated by Saroj Thapa (Roz Rana), Minister for Industry and Transport Management of Lumbini Province. During the inauguration, Minister Thapa emphasized the need to promote cottage industries in rural areas to curb migration to urban areas. He also highlighted the provincial government’s commitment to supporting youth engaged in cottage industries in rural areas.
The festival aims to promote products manufactured within the municipality and enhance the tourism sector from both domestic and international perspectives.The festival has a significant role in promoting locally produced goods and boosting tourism.
It is anticipated that the festival, which will run until Magh 23, will attract over a million visitors and generate business transactions exceeding NPR 200 million.
