Jhamsikhel Youth Club (JYC) is hosting the “5th Jhamsikhel Street Festival” this Saturday to uphold its tradition of organizing festivals and boost tourism in the area.
According to JYC’s Chairperson, Sandan Thapa Magar, the festival aligns with the government’s ongoing efforts to promote tourism.
JYC Spokesperson, Kaushal Ghimire, mentioned that this is the fifth time the club is organizing the street festival, having done so in 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2019.
The festival will include a Rock concert featuring popular bands like Mukti and Revival, Anuprastha, Cobweb, and the new addition, Brothers N Band. Lok Dohori singers, including Komal Oli, will also perform, along with standup comedy acts by artists such as Raja Rajendra, Purna Thapa, and Ravi Dangol.
Attendees can enjoy food, handicrafts, face painting stalls, as well as bingo and carnival games for children along the streets of Jhamsikhel during the festival.
