To get agricultural products to market, the Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality in the Khotang area has launched a free “agriculture ambulance” program.
Transporting fresh vegetables grown by Soti Multipurpose Farmers’ Cooperatives in ward 13 of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi marked the official start of the local unit’s function on Sunday.
Deputy Mayor Bisan Rai stated, “We started the program to support the farmers by managing markets for their products.”
For the current fiscal year of 2023–24, the municipality has budgeted Rs. 1 million for the “agriculture ambulance” program.
