
Children between the ages of nine months and fifteen years old will begin receiving measles-rubella vaccinations as of today. It will continue until March 20.
First, they’ll cover 24 districts, mainly ones near India and three districts in Kathmandu Valley. Then, they’ll move to the other 53 districts. Kids can get the shot at school or special centers from 10 am to 4 pm.
They aim to vaccinate about 2.1 million young kids (nine months to five years) and 3.6 million older kids (five to 15 years). Nearly 50,000 facilities across the nation will receive assistance from volunteers and health specialists.
The goal of this effort is to remove measles and rubella by 2026.
