Australian mountaineer Allie Pepper plans to climb Nepal’s 8,091-meter Annapurna-1 this spring. This peak is the tenth highest in the world. She additionally stated that by 2026, she wanted to climb 14 mountains higher than 8,000 meters without the need for oxygen.

48-year-old Pepper said that she aims to encourage women who are facing challenges.
With 23 years of mountain climbing experience, she plans to climb three summits this spring, including Nepal’s Annapurna-1.
Out of all the climbers in the world, only six have reached the top of all 14 of the tallest mountains over 8,000 meters without using extra oxygen.
Moreover, only two climbers, whose journey spanned 16 years, have climbed all 14 summits higher than 8,000 meters.
