Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Minister Hit Bahadur Tamang has urged newly appointed tourism promoters to actively work for the country’s welfare and tourism development.
Minister Tamang handed over appointment letters, introduction letters, and national flags to the newly appointed tourism promoters at the ministry today. He also encouraged them to play a role in attracting more foreign investment to boost tourism alongside domestic efforts.
Highlighting the significant role and responsibility of tourism promoters for the country’s tourism development, he urged them to work in favor of the nation and its people. This call comes after 29 promoters were appointed in various countries to promote Nepal’s tourism following a decision made on Falgun 13.
Somnath Sapkota, appointed for the UK, assured that he would skillfully execute the responsibility of keeping the nation’s top interests at the forefront.
The Ministry has appointed tourism envoys in various countries in the past to promote Nepal’s tourism, and this recent appointment is under the Tourism Development Act 2064 and its first amendment in 2079.
