The 12th International Folk Cultural Fair has finished. It started in Kathmandu and went to different places in Nepal. Over 350 artists from 11 countries took part.
After starting in Kathmandu, the fair went to Ghorahi in Dang and Lakeside in Pokhara before returning to Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, artists from 11 countries performed at Basantpur Durbar Square and Laligurans National Academy in Manmaiju.
Artists from Austria, Belgium, Botswana, Estonia, Germany, Nepal, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Poland, and South Africa performed for 10 days.
More than 1 million people watched the performances.
For the last 20 years, the Everest Nepal Cultural Group has been organizing cultural events, inviting different countries. The founder, Dr. RC Koirala ‘Ramchandra’, believes that such events help strengthen relationships between countries.
