March 21 and 22, in Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, there is a significant gathering named ‘Global Peace for Prosperity’. The Honorary Consular Corps Nepal (HCCN) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal are hosting it. Representatives from 18 countries without embassies in Nepal, honorary consuls for Nepal from different countries, and experts in foreign affairs and heritage are attending.
Nepal’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with other government officials, will also join. The goal of the meeting is to promote Lumbini, attract investment to Nepal, and strengthen global connections. They’ll discuss investment opportunities and tourism potential in Nepal.
The head of HCCN mentioned that they’re organizing this event to link Lumbini with the one billion Buddhists worldwide and to showcase its cultural and religious significance. They hope the event will encourage more investment in Nepal.
