Last March, about 30,000 tourists from outside Nepal came to visit the Annapurna region. Most of them had originated in the same South Asian areas basically, which were not very far from there. The spring will bring more tourists to the area because the weather will be warmer at that point.
Annapurna had an unexpected outstanding year in 2019 when it hosted a record number of 191,558 people from 173 nations in different countries. It was greater than even in pre-epidemical times back in 2019, which made it the highest number recorded before. The numbers increased by more than 129.000 visits in 2022.
Annapurna Base Camp, Mardi Himal, Ghandruk hamlet, Tilicho Lake, Thorangla Pass, Upper Mustang, Muktinath Himal and Ghodepani are examples of several places of stunning beauty that make the region popular. Ego trips to our solar system are undertaken by participants from different parts of the globe.
The Annapurna Conservation region Project (ACAP) is in charge of 7,600 square kilometers. Districts like Kaski, Mustang, Myagdi, Lamjung, and Manang are included in it.
