Kathmanu, Nepal-May-13– The famous climber, Kami Rita Sherpa, has once again made a new record in mountaineering by making his 29th successful climb of Mount Everest. Surpassing his own previous record, the 54-year-old climber, who has been praised as ‘Everest Man’, set a new record this morning., according to Mingma Sherpa who is an expedition organizer at Seven Summit Treks.
Born in Thame village, located in the Everest region of Nepal, Sherpa comes has been guiding expeditions on Everest for over 25 years. His passion for mountaineering and intimate knowledge of the terrain have made him an imprtant figure in the climbing as well as sherpa community.
Kami Rita started his journey on summiting Mount Everest in the year 1994, and since then, without pause, he regularly takes on the most treacherous expeditions and summits Everest. His latest feat was achieved while leading a group of climbers to the summit, showcasing his exceptional leadership and mountaineering prowess.
Despite his numerous accomplishments, he emphasized the importance of teamwork and perseverance “I am very happy and proud, and I am thankful to my team for their support,” Sherpa remarked after descending from the summit.
The meaning of Kami Rita’s achievement goes beyond the personal records, it shows how important is the role of the Sherpas in their contribution to the climbers’ safety and success on Mount Everest.
