Kathmandu, Nepal-May 13– Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” laid the foundation stone for a brand new signature bridge that is going to be built over the Narayani river. Tundi Construction Pvt Ltd has been entrusted with the contract to construct this innovative bridge.
The total cost of the bridge is estimated to be 1 billion 68 million rupees.
The new bridge’s design is set to be an architectural marvel, featuring two towers and two pillars strategically positioned to support the structure. Notably, the bridge will offer the unique feature of allowing boats to operate underneath, which will add a distinctive element to its functionality and aesthetics.
According to the bridge division, The construction of the bridge is expected to be completed within 3 years. It will be 420 meters long and width 12 meters and also with a cycle lane.
Moreover, the bridge will be wider than the currently operating bridge built in 2038 B.S. This bridge will connect Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province on the East-West Highway.
The construction of this bridge over the Narayani River is going to make it become an even more prominent landmark. Moreover, the bridge is already ready to become a symbol of progress and innovation for the country.
